Privacy Policy
Overview
Contact Extract is a desktop application published by Molus Enterprises LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). Contact Extract extracts contact information from your email. All email processing happens locally on your device. We do not receive, collect, or transmit your email content, contacts, or personal data.
Information We Process
Contact Extract processes email headers, signature blocks, and related metadata on your device to extract contact information. This data is stored locally on your computer and is never transmitted to us.
When you connect a Gmail account, the application contacts our authentication configuration service to retrieve credentials required by Google. This service is hosted by a third-party infrastructure provider which processes your IP address as part of standard request handling. We log limited operational metadata (country code, app version, and timestamp) for security monitoring, automatically deleted after 90 days. No user-identifying information is transmitted by the application.
Third-Party Services
When you consent for Contact Extract to connect to an email account, Contact Extract communicates directly with your email provider using read-only access. Contact Extract cannot send, delete, move, or modify your email. You can revoke access at any time (see below). Your email provider's privacy policy also applies:

Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Contact Extract's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data accessed through Gmail APIs is used solely to provide the contact extraction functionality visible in the application, is not transferred to any third party, and is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data stored by Contact Extract on your device. All persistent data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard algorithms, with keys protected by your operating system's native credential storage. Revoking Access and Deleting Data
You can revoke Contact Extract's access and delete its locally stored data at any time. The app provides the following controls under Advanced Options:
- Revoke access for a specific account — removes the stored authorization for one connected email account without affecting other connected accounts.
- Clear data for a specific account — deletes extraction outputs, cached working data, and scan history for that account only.
- Clear all data — deletes all locally stored data and revokes access for every connected account in one step.
You can also revoke access externally from your email provider:
- Google: Visit Google Connected Apps and remove Contact Extract
- Microsoft: Visit Microsoft Account Permissions and remove Contact Extract
Your Rights
All email data is processed and stored locally on your device. You can access, export, or delete your data at any time using the app's built-in controls.
We process data on the basis of contract performance (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the mandatory data protection or consumer protection laws of your country of residence. If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Molus Enterprises LLC does not sell your personal information, and does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or any other purpose, except to the extent disclosure is mandated by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process). This applies regardless of how the terms "sell" or "share" are interpreted under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the California Privacy Rights Act, or any other applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Contact Extract is not intended for persons under 18.
Changes to This Policy
Updated privacy notices will be included with new versions of the Software.
